Are your friends impressed and simultaneously frightened by your tweeting ability? Are you interested in operating a video camera, editing a video piece, or putting together engrossing podcasts?
Over the past few years, The Miscellany News has leapt head-first into the world of alternative forms of journalism—with the technology available to us today, there are infinite ways to tell a story other than with words on a page. We've live-streamed video from the Vassar Student Association elections results party; we've podcasted nearly every week with faculty, students, administrators and Miscellany editors; we've taken exclusive video of Davison House when it was mid-renovation; and we've chronicled the weeks of the year with our slideshows.
Multimedia Correspondents will work closely with the Online Editor and the Executive Board to create rich and compelling online content. The Multimedia staff must be innovative, creative and willing to take risks in this field that not even the world's most prestigious publications have yet mastered.
