On Sunday Jan. 22, the Vassar Student Association (VSA) Council released a proposal that would to allow for the creation of a young trustee position on the College's Board of Trustees. Catch 2012: Romney’s identity crisis

Throughout the primary, Mitt has tried in vain to reconcile his moderate core with the extreme orthodoxies of the party, attempting to sell himself as the paragon of modern conservatism. Humor & Satire | Vassar’s serious mistake: Everybody’s been there

Things aren't looking so great for Vassar right now. Once thought of as a respectable finishing school for women and gays, Vassar is now known as a heartless institution run by joy-killing sociopaths who broke the hearts of 76 wide-eyed high school seniors by offering them love and acceptance and then cruelly revoking it half an hour later.

Humor & Satire | Senior Retrospective: The worst parties I’ve been to

Batts to display inchoate play in reading

When a crowd streams into a theater to see a new play, audience members probably expect a finished product rather than a work in progress. But Isabella Batts '12, whose play will be performed on Friday, Feb. 3, insists that her work, "The Inheritance of Nightdreams," should be embraced, not dismissed, as an unfinished piece. "I've stopped calling it a performance," said Batts. "For me, it's a presentation; it's a reading; it's a senior project."

Coaches teach outside their specialty

While one might expect Vassar coaches to be experts in just one sport, many demonstrate a surprising amount of versatility, teaching physical education classes in fields unrelated to their varsity duties. "Every coach here has more than just their coaching responsibilities. They wear a couple or three hats," said men's and women's rugby Head Coach Tony Brown.
